Dewalt 20V Brushless XR 8″ Pole Saw DCPS620B

A new cordless Dewalt 20V Brushless XR 8″ Pole Saw DCPS620B has been spotted on Sacfasteners instagram page, click here to view their instagram post.

It’s sporting a brushless motor and has an 8 inch bar and chain which is typical for a pole saw. It’s also upgradeable as the listing description states that it’s also compatible with Dewalt’s 10 inch bar and chain meaning you can always upgrade this to a 10 incher whenever you want (for an additional cost of course). As you can see from the images, the motor head is angled for better reach and cutting of limbs. It has automatic oiling and uses a double stud design so it’s not tool-less to change chain or adjust tension however many claim this is better since it is said to hold tension better and longer. We also have a full size image showing the pole saw with an extension being used giving it up to 15 foot reach. The runtime is said to be up to 96 cuts into 4×4 pressure treated pine (probably with a 4.0 ah battery).

It will come out this year 2019 soon (no ETA although it has been spotted in some retailer sites but with no availability yet) and that pricing will be $149 bare tool and $199 in a kit with a 4.0 ah battery and charger. This means that pricing is in line with current Dewalt 20V outdoor power equipment tools such as their string trimmer, blower and hedge trimmer. So far they have a nice little collection for 20V and almost covers most of the basics as they also have a cordless mower that runs on two 20V batteries.

A big thanks to Cody Robertson for spotting and Brandon for additional info!
