18 volt tools can only go so far and Milwaukee has made some impressive leaps and bounds with their latest M18 Fuel tools and are doing what seemed impossible, making the same massive tools with only 18V the other brands where making with higher voltage between 36V-60V Max. So Milwaukee has introduced a new high voltage line of tools that will bring larger tools than what’s currently available on other brands high voltage cordless lines. For example, the MX Fuel line currently offers at launch a new MX Fuel 14″ cut off saw, a MX Fuel breaker hammer, MX Fuel handheld 6″ core drill, MX Fuel drum machine with Powertrdz, MX Fuel Carry on 3600W/1800W power supply and MX Fuel 27,000 Lumen Tower Light / Charger.

When they say higher voltage, do you think that hurts their 28 volt lines feelings? Joking aside, I know that that line is older and doesn’t seem like they’ve really supported it, but I don’t think a voltage was specified in any of the above literature. Do you know?
Technically they didn’t say high voltage however looking at the size of those massive batteries, I’m sure they are higher voltage as there’s no way these tools are running on 18 volts.
I asked Milwaukee what the voltage is on these new tools and batteries and I should get a reply soon. I’ll share my findings when I hear back from them.
As for their 28V line, it wouldn’t surprise me if they are phasing it out (not that they are or not as they have not mentioned and I do not know) but seeing as how their latest M18 Fuel line are pumping out power tools with impressive specs, it makes the 28V line seem unnecessary in my opinion. It makes better sense to keep the new MX Fuel line along with the M18 line where the M18 competes against other 18/20v lines and 36-60V lines and the MX Fuel line provides higher spec’d cordless power tools the other brands don’t offer in their high voltage lines.
The voltage is obvious they provide a breakdown of the packs. 20S1P and 20S2P this correlates to 72V nominal and 84V Max I’d using a traditional 4.2 volt cutoff per cell. 80V if 4.1V/cell.
When can we expect an MX Fuel lawn mower?
soon after they announce it?
The R&D Milwaukee is in credible to me. These guys have not stopped put out new innovative tools for several years now. I’m wondering when R&D is gonna slow down for them. I’m hopping Dewalt will have a line like this but I know they are very slow at developing new tools. I’m a huge dewalt fan but Milwaukee is making it hard for me to stay one.
