After nearly 2 years of waiting, the first specs and features for the long awaited Hercules 20v cordless reciprocating saw have finally been published in Harbor Freight’s monthly catalog. This is great news because the Hercules 20v line only has a drill driver, hammer drill driver, an impact driver, and the 20v circular saw that I wrote about recently. With the addition of a 20v reciprocating saw, this makes the Hercules line more appealing to potential buyers.
My thoughts: Just like with most of Harbor Freight’s more recent releases, this new 20v reciprocating saw from Hercules has many specs and features you’d expect from a higher priced tool. Although it doesn’t feature a brushless motor, this saw sports a rafter hook, tool free blade change, 3,000 strokes per minute, an LED light, and vibration control to keep fatigue down. At the time of writing this saw isn’t up on Harbor Freight’s website just yet, but the pricing in the catalog is $99.99 which is a fairly competitive price. I suspect with a coupon this saw will come down to around $89.99 or maybe even $79.99 but I haven’t seen a coupon yet so don’t take my word for it. If they can get the pricing right, this should a no brainer for anyone who currently has other Hercules tools and batteries.
