A new Hitachi 10 inch 15 amp table saw is coming out soon model C10RJ.
It has a few key features that make it very appealing, especially considering it’s priced at around $479. First of all it has a metal roll cage design similar to the Dewalt portable table saws.
Next on the list, it has a neat fold and roll stand – that appears similar to the Dewalt folding rolling stand that comes with the Dewalt DWE7491RS jobsite table saw.
The Hitachi C10RJ 10″ 15 amp Table Saw also has a telescoping fence that uses a rack and pinion system similar to the Dewalt portable table saws. And the Hitachi table saw also has a large rip capacity to the right of up to 35 inches, which is 2.5 inches larger than the Dewalt DWE7491RS jobsite table saw.
It seems that the new Hitachi C10RJ 10″ 15 amp Table Saw is aimed to compete directly with the Dewalt DWE7491RS jobsite table saw with rolling stand. Is this a bad thing? No, because the Dewalt DWE7491RS jobsite table saw with rolling stand is a great saw (I know this because I have it) and if other brands can offer what the Dewalt model has and for less, even better! We the consumers win when the Manufacturers compete.
What the Hitachi C10RJ has that the Dewalt doesn’t – the Hitachi C10RJ has an extendable outfeed assist section in the back that helps support larger boards.
What the Hitachi C10RJ doesn’t have that the Dewalt DWE7491RS does – the Hitach model only has one vac port, while the Dewalt has two with the second one being located on the removable blade guards which means you’ll have potentially better dust control on the Dewalt model if you use the blade guard.
What do I think of Hitachi’s newest table saw C10RJ? I think it offers a great value and takes what makes the Dewalt DWE7491RS jobsite table saw with rolling stand great and at a lower price point of $100 less.
Amazon has this for pre order with orders shipping on March 31, 2017. The reason I bring this up is because Amazon has it much cheaper than other retailers at only $390 at the time of writing.
