Milwaukee M18 Fuel 8” Metal Cutting Circular Saw 2982-21

It was just last week that we learned that Hikoki (Metabo HPT) had released a cordless metal cutting circular saw using a 7-1/4″ blade which is larger than the traditional 5″ and 6″ blades other cordless models use but now we learn that Milwaukee has just announced a new cordless metal cutting saw that doesn’t use a similar 7-1/4″ blade but a larger 8″ blade. It’s the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 8” Metal Cutting Circular Saw 2982-21 .

Milwaukee says that this metal cutting circular saw generates similar power to a 15 amp corded model. It’s designed to perform in the toughest applications, such as 1” plate steel, angle iron, corrugated decking, and 2” black pipe, without slowing users down.

They say that thanks to their M18 FUEL™ cordless technology, they’re able to deliver an 8” Metal Cutting Circular Saw that not only surpasses the speed of corded but does so with a larger cutting capacity than any cordless metal cutting circular saw.

Runtime is up to 120’ in corrugated decking per charge. Other features include an Overload Indicator Light illuminates when users push the saw too hard and a durable blade shield with integrated chip collection deflects and collects metal chips and sparks.

The new Milwaukee M18 Fuel 8″ metal cutting circular saw will be available April 2020 and will retail for $399 (Bare Tool), $549 (Kit).
