Makita has introduced 2 New Makita Corded 1-3/16″ SDS Plus Rotary Hammers with the HR300CK & HR3011FCK models.

Both of these two new corded SDS Plus rotary hammers offer nearly identical features with a rated capacity up to 1-3/16″, 7.5 amps, 2.9 ft.lbs. / 3.9 J of impact energy, 3 modes for drilling only, hammer only (chipping), and hammer drilling, with the additional ability to rotate bits which is handy when chipping. They are both L shaped rotary hammers which makes them a bit more compact than straight or inline rotary hammers. They both feature a vibration absorbing back handle. They also feautre constant speed control and a wide variable speed trigger. And a side handle with depth rod are included. Where the HR3011FCK model differs is that it features anti-vibration technology (AVT) which they say is “an internal counterbalance system for reduced vibration.” Although both models look almost identical, they feature different optional dust extraction methods with the more humble HR3001CK model requiring the optional Makita Dust Attachment (195173-3, sold separately) and a dust extractor. For OSHA Table 1 Complaint dust extraction, pair the dust attachment with extractors that have a filter cleaning mechanism such as VC4210L or XCV13 (sold separately). The HR3011FCK model requires the optional on-board dust extractor attachment (DX10, sold separately), making this rotary hammer OSHA Table 1 Compliant when paired.
