Milwaukee just announced a new version of their Milwaukee M18 Fuel 7-1/4″ Circular Saw in 2018 and it’s got a new model number as well 2732-21HD. We’ll call this the Gen 2 model.

At first glance it looks just like their current 7-1/4″ Fuel model that came out 2013 however their are a few key differences that make this a completely new beast. It’s got upgraded electronics, a brand spanking new more powerful motor, and comes bundled with their new 12.0 ah battery which all three together allow this circular saw to generate the similar power to a 15 amp corded saw according to Milwaukee and they even go as far as to say it cuts faster than leading corded models as well! They also increased it’s RPM’s to 5,800 no load RPM. Milwaukee says this saw will rip through tough applications without bogging down.
Sharing it’s similar looks it’s no surprise its features make it’s way to the Gen 2 model such as a built in fold out rafter hook, LED light, Magnesium blade guards and beefy aluminum shoe. Cosmetically there is one clear difference that will allow users to tell the difference between this model and the original which is a plastic square cover over the upper blade guard side discharge dust chute.
Expect this new model to come out in July 2018.
