At Milwaukee’s very first Pipeline Event, Episode 1, they announced not one but three new cordless Fuel brushless vacs with the M12 Fuel M12 FUEL 1.6 Gallon Wet / Dry Vacuum 0960-21 the M18 Fuel Compact Vacuum 0940-20 , and the M18 Fuel Packout 2.5 Gallon wet dry Vacuum 0970-20. All three are expected to launch October 2020 according to Milwaukee.

M12 Fuel M12 FUEL 1.6 Gallon Wet / Dry Vacuum 0960-21
The M12 Fuel model is by far my favorite of the bunch. It’s no surprise I love the smaller 12V tools and this vacuum takes everything, literally everything that makes the M18 2 gallon wet dry vac great and adds a brushless motor suited for the M12 system and shrinks it down a tad. They also say it’s quieter at 87 db which if true is great news as the current M18 2 gallon wet/dry vac is pretty loud. Performance is the same even though on the 12 volt system, no doubt thanks to it’s brushless motor which helps keep the same strong 45 cfm suction as it’s M18 bigger brother. It also includes the blower function and under lid hose and accessory storage. This new model has two speeds and is said to be able to get up to 14 minutes of runtime on high and up to 26 minutes in low with an XC 6.0 ah battery. It will be priced at $129 as a baretool and $199 as a kit.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel Compact Vacuum 0940-20
Very versatile can be used as a small compact “tea kettle” style vacuum and with the included accessories and wands can be used as a floor stick vacuum. Its brushless motor is said to get up to 18 minutes in High Mode and 28 minutes in Low Mode. It is designed for dry vacuuming only and launches in October 2020 for $199 as a baretool.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel Packout 2.5 Gallon Wet Dry Vacuum 0970-20
Much like their current M18 2 gallon wet dry vacuum but better in every way. It has a more powerful brushless motor is said to run 2x quieter than similar vacs at only 87 db loudness and with an 8.0 ah battery the runtime is said to be up to 30 minutes in High Mode and over 50 minutes in Low Mode. It is slightly larger with its 2.5 gallon tank and also has onboard storage with the house wrapped around the exterior. All of that and since it’s part of the Packout system, it can stack and connect to other Packout storage. It launches in October 2020 and is priced at $199 as a baretool.
