The Klein Tools Refrigerant Gas Leak Detector ET160 is a handheld unit designed for HVAC professionals. It utilizes an 18″ gooseneck probe and is designed to detect CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs and blends from 100 PPM to 3000 PPM. Just position the gooseneck probe into the area you want to detect to see if there’s a gas leak and the unit with give you visual and audible alarms, which increase with the higher the concentration of refrigerant gas. You can select between high for 100 to 1000 PPM and low to detect between 200 to 3000 PPM. Other features include an automatic zero point calibration at startup. It also features the ability to hold the reading and mute the unit if desired and the unit has a low battery indicator. It runs on 4 included AAA batteries. To conserve power, it has an auto off function after 10 minutes of inactivity and is sturdy enough to handle a 6.6 foot drop.
