“The Beast” is a tile saw designed for the tile installer pros and has some serious features. It uses a 10 inch blade, has a large platform on rollers with a 36 inch rip capacity and a diagonal cutting capacity of 24 inches, and can cut up to 3-1/2″ deep for things like brick and pavers. It also features a unique drop gate fence design that allows for virtually unlimited rip capacity so you can feed pieces of tile longer than 36 inches! The motor head can bevel to make bevel cuts at 0°, 22.5°, or 45° and the head itself can also make plunge cuts which is perfect for cutting out things like square holes for electrical boxes and HVAC registers. The miter guide makes straight and miter cuts from 0° – 45° to the left and right. Ridgid says that the machined roller system allows for clean accurate cuts. The die cast aluminum table with co-molded work surface provide 28 inches of continuous tile support and includes a fence for straight cuts.
The integrated stand folds up for easier storage and has wheels to haul to and from the jobsite. There is onboard storage to store the trays and other accessories that come with the saw and the tray itself is removable so you can set the wet tile saw on other surfaces when you don’t need to use the included stand. The wet tile saws water management features include optimized water nozzles for clean cuts, splash guards to reduce water refills, the rear of the blade features a large baffle to help prevent water overspray when making cuts, tray isolation walls to help separate debris from the recirculated water for longer pump life.
