Milwaukee M12 Fuel Bandfile – What is a bandfile?
Bandfiles are small compact belt sanders. They feature a thin sanding belt and are good for getting into tight awkward areas. They are used to grind, deburr, sand and refinish angle iron, metal pipe, fiberglass, and wood. Milwaukee’s M12 Fuel bandfiles can do just that and are also targeted towards automotive use such as sanding spot welds. They are typically pneumatic and electric corded versions however Milwaukee’s battery powered M12 Fuel bandfiles ditches the cord.
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Bandfile – Features
Other than the different size sanding belt, both models have the same features. They feature two speeds with 3,600 SFM high and 1,800 SFM low paired with a variable speed trigger. The belt has the ability to go forward and reverse and offers a lock-on button for continuous operation. LED lights help out in low light. The sanding belts are tool free to change out.
The sanding belt arm can rotate in 360 degrees for a variety of sanding positions.
On one end you’ll find the mode button to toggle between the two speeds. Lights indicate which speed you’re on and in what direction the belt is traveling.
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Bandfile – Runtime
When paired with a 4.0ah battery, you can expect to remove up to 50 spot welds with the 18″ bandfile. Remove up to 40 spot welds with the 13″ bandfile.
Milwaukee M12 Fuel Bandfile – Pricing & Availability
