New Ryobi 18V Drain Auger Models & USB Lithium Drain Auger

Ryobi introduces 3 new cordless drain auger models with two 18V models and one USB Lithium model. Let’s check them out below.

Ryobi USB Lithium 3′ Drain Auger Kit FVPC55K $59.97

This little guy has a 3 foot reinforced cable to tackle clogs in bathroom and kitchen sinks without the need to use harsh chemicals. It’s also capable of tackling clogs in showers and bathtubs.

Part of the USB Lithium family of tools, it’s extremely compact and light. No need to lug around a heavy bulky tool. This is thanks to the tiny 2ah USB Lithium battery pack that’s just a little bigger than a THICC AA battery.

This auger has an IPX7 water resistance rating which allows for submersion in water up to 3′ for 30 minutes.

The 3 foot auger cable is replaceable. The built in motor in the tool provides multi-directional spin, so this auger easily grabs and removes stubborn clogs, making drain cleaning a breeze.

The kit includes everything you need to get started including battery and USB charge cable. It also comes with a handle to control the cable so your hands don’t directly touch it for less mess on your hands. Ryobi 18V 25′ Drain Auger PCL456B (Tool Only) $89

Next on the list is the Ryobi 18V 25 foot drain auger model. This will probably be their more popular model based on what it can do. It’s powered by Ryobi’s most powerful 18 volt batteries.

With it’s 25 foot auger cable that can clear up to 2″ pipes, it’s the go to tool to unclog not just kitchen and bath sinks but also showers and tubs. I use an older version of this and it gets used every so often in our shower and most of the time in our experience, the clogs are several feet deep so it’s good to know 25 feet of cable can get the job done.

The 25 foot cable on this model is not just reinforced but it has an enclosed drum to contain it.

You have the option to manually feed the cable or let the tool auto feed and retract cable as you work. A lock switch helps lock the cable in place so you can break up the clog once reached. An LED light on the front helps illuminate the work area to help in low light situations.

The base of the tool is also Ryobi LINK compatible with their wall rails for easy wall storage.

Last but definitely not least is the Ryobi 18V 35 foot drain auger. This is their big dog out of all three in this article. It’s also powered by their most popular 18V batteries.

This guy means business with a 35 foot durable reinforced cable capable of removing clogs in pipes up to 35 feet deep and in pipes up to 3 inches. It’s designed for toilets, floor drains, and main stacks – it means business!

You have the option to manually feed the cable or let the tool auto feed and retract cable as you work. A lock switch helps lock the cable in place so you can break up the clog once reached. It also has a large grab handle on the front for easier operation. An LED light on the front helps illuminate the work area to help in low light situations.

Compatible with both 1/4″ (A122AD3 sold separately) and 5/16″ (included) cable drums, this Auger is suitable for both household and professional applications. The 1/4″ cable drum is perfect for clearing clogs in showers, bathtubs and sinks, while the 5/16″ cable drum can unclog toilets, floor drains and main stacks.
