What the other New Bauer 20V Tools will PROBABLY LOOK LIKE

After the debut of the new Bauer 20V cordless tool line from Harbor Freight which currently include 3 tools total, we soon after found out that they would be coming out with more tools. The new tools include a cordless 1/2″ impact wrench, LED light, 4-1/2″ angle grinder, jigsaw, reciprocating saw, and a 6-1/2″ circular saw as part of the 20V lineup.

The above list of the new tools is on the back of the kit boxes of the current Bauer 20V tools and they you a small picture which is more of a colorful drawing than anything. But we recently learned that the Harbor Freight Bauer 20V tools were clones of the Powerplus 20V UK brand, I also noticed that Powerplus has additional 20V tools – which happen to be the same exact ones listed on the back of the Bauer 20V kit boxes. So as you can see from the above pictures, they’re all very similar to what’s in the picture of the back of the packaging of the Bauer 20V kits. This gives us a good idea of what to expect in the new Bauer 20V tools and you can even look at the specs as a reference point of what also to expect in the new Bauer tools. However the Powerplus 20V 1/2″ impact wrench that I found doesn’t look identical to the one shown in the Bauer picture list. The Powerplus model appears to be more in line with the body of the  impact driver but with a 1/2″ anvil, while the picture of the Bauer impact wrench looks larger. In other words the Powerplus model appears to be a “compact” impact wrench while the Bauer model appears to be a more substantial model that is probably a higher torque model. Well see when they officially come out.

Another thing to point out is the circular saw is basically the same unit from either brand except that the Powerplus model has a rear vac port in the upper blade guard while the picture of the Bauer model does not. This doesn’t surprise me as vac ports on circular saws tends to be a UK feature that simply doesn’t exist here on USA models. Sucks for us though as I would love this feature on my circular saws for dust free cutting.
