AEG BIW 18CB3-0 Compact 3 Speed 18v Brushless 1/2” Impact Wrench

AEG is adding themselves to the market of compact impact wrenches with their new ½” drive 3 speed brushless model, the BIW 18CB3-0. This new impact looks to be the same size as their impact driver, but out fitted with a ½” anvil.

My thoughts: It’s nice to see AEG expanding their 18v offerings with another impact wrench. This new unit packs a full size ½” friction ring anvil, which means sockets are available in a wide variety of sizes and types. In addition it shares the same 3 speed function found on their brushless impact driver and their larger brushless impact wrench. Other features include 3 LEDs around the anvil, a grip light trigger on the lower handle as also seen on several other AEG and Ridgid tools, a belt hook that can be placed on the right or left sides, and 260 NM (191.8 ft. lbs.) max torque. I will note that I can only find this unit for sale in the Philippines at the time of writing however I suspect we’ll see it show up in Europe and New Zealand and Australia in the future and hopefully it will be better priced and come with AEG’s longer 6 year warranty found in Australia and New Zealand.
