AEG Dual 18V Brushless 3.8L Air Compressor

Most of the time AEG gets new power tools before we ever see them as Ridgid tools but as Glenn was mentioning, here is one tool that was available as a Ridgid branded tool in the USA that the rest of the world didn’t have as an AEG model – the Dual 18V Brushless 3.8L Air Compressor.

The AEG Dual 18V Brushless 3.8L Air Compressor is the mirror image of the Ridgid 18V brushless 1 gallon compressor we spotted earlier this year in February except with the AEG branding and a different cosmetic color scheme. If you want to learn more about the full specs, please check out my article on the Ridgid 18V brushless 1 gallon compressor model as nothing else has changed.

My thoughts for the AEG cordless compressor don’t change from the Ridgid model as I feel that “cordless” compressors aren’t really cordless. Sure they ditch the power cord that plugs into an outlet or extension cord but you still have to deal with cables in the form of hoses from the compressor itself to the air powered tool. This is a little too late as we already have a plentiful selection of fully cordless tools that were once only air powered such as nailers and impact wrenches including those as part of AEG and Ridgid cordless 18V line.

I also want to mention that even though this battery powered compressor is called a dual 18V model and has two battery slots, using two batteries will only increase the runtime on the unit and not give you double the voltage or added performance.

  • DUAL 18V power supply allows use with one battery pack or two
  • 3.8L tank with roll cage for portability and protection
  • NITTO quick-release fittings for easy compatibility
  • 120PSI max pressure with outlet regulator
  • Oil-free pump design and up to 30.8L/min FAD
  • Enough runtime to fire 1,200 brads per charge
