Harbor Freight has been busy building up its in house Bauer brand with all sorts of new tools. This new power source battery inverter adds additional usefulness for their 20V batteries.

This battery inverter lets you get power on the go with just a Bauer battery.

It can power small electronics from cell phones and tablets. To laptops, LCD TV’s, lights, and fans!

Bauer 20V 190W Power Source Battery Inverter – Features

It does so thanks to 2x USB-A, one USB-C ports, and a 120V AC outlet. The 120V ac outlet is rated for up to 150W and the USB-C port is rated for 30W.

At first I thought the AC outlet could provide 190 watts which would make it more capable than similar battery inverters from Ryobi, Ridgid, and Milwaukee. However the AC outlet only churns out 150W max. If you add that with the 30W from the USB-C port, that’s a total of 180W. Harbor Freights webpage does say that you can use the AC outlet and USB ports at the same time. However they don’t describe what combination of ports to get 190 watts total. They don’t even mention how many watts you can get out of the USB-A ports. So just keep that in mind.

It also features a built in light on top. A feature similar to Ryobi and Ridgid’s 18V power inverters. No lumen rating is given for Bauers built in light. I wouldn’t expect it to be very bright, just useful enough to be used in an emergency. You can always connect a much powerful light to the AC outlet if needed. The light has two functions, solid on and strobe (blinking). The top of the unit has the power and light buttons.

Like most Harbor Freight items, this is very competitively priced at $49.99 at the time of writing. This makes it much lower in price compared to Ryobi, Ridgid, and Milwaukee which are priced at $99, $89, and $119 respectively. That makes the Bauer to value leader of the bunch.
