Black and Decker recently came out with an all new 60V cordless power tool line. The new cordless power tool line is going to be called Powercommand and features outdoor power tools running on their new 60V battery platform.
As part of the Powercommand 60V line are a String Trimmer/Edger, Hedge Trimmer, Blower, and Mower. The batteries include a 1.5ah and 2.5ah 60V battery. The batteries have built in fuel gauges to show the remaining battery charge.
The new 60V MAX* EASYFEED™ String Trimmer/Edger (13 inch) (MSRP $169.99) allows homeowners to easily and reliably feed the trimmer line with the simple push of the EASYFEED™ button, putting control back into the user’s hands without the hassle of bumping. The tool easily converts from trimmer to edger, eliminating the need to switch tools in the middle of a job.

So based on prices and features they appear to be a good value for homeowners that are budget conscious. They offer 60V batteries and tools for less than similar voltage outdoor power equipment although with lowered specs and features.
