Bosch 18V PROFACTOR Power Tool List Unveiled

Back in December 2020 we had learned that Bosch was coming out with new high performing 18 volt power tools called “PROFACTOR”. Other than their new name we didn’t know too much about them other than they are possibly optimized for their CORE18V batteries for max performance out of the 18 volt system. But we did have a picture to go with their release that gave us a preview of some of the new tools. Fast forward to today and now we have an official list of new tools with a total of 9 new 18V PROFACTOR cordless power tools.

As you can see in the image above, there are 9 new PROFACTOR tools, (I cropped the left side of the image since there were 3 grinders that all looked the same but you can still see it’s side handle). In this image we see 3 grinders, an impact wrench, two rotary hammers, a sliding miter saw, and two circular saws. Though 9 tools, some are added and removed in the new list Bosch provided in their press release. In their latest press release, we have two SDS Max rotary hammers, one SDS plus rotary hammer, so a total of three new rotary hammers, 2 angle grinders instead of three, two circular saws, a miter saw, and last but not least a track saw. New to this list are a third rotary hammer, and a track saw. Removed are the impact wrench as seen in the above image. I reached out to Bosch about the impact wrench and they say that it is planned for release but later in the year and that the first round of tools will include the ones mentioned in the below list.

New Profactor Tools List                            :

  • Bosch GBH18V-36CN 18V Hitman Connected-Ready SDS-max 1-9/16 In. Rotary Hammer
  • Bosch GBH18V-45CK 18V Hitman Connected-Ready SDS-max 1-7/8 In. Rotary Hammer
  • Bosch GBH18V-34CQN 18V Connected-Ready SDS-plus 1-1/4 In. Rotary Hammer
  • Bosch GWX18V-13CN 18V Spitfire X-LOCK Connected-Ready 5 – 6 In. Angle Grinder with Slide Switch
  • Bosch GWS18V-13CN 18V Spitfire Connected-Ready 5 – 6 In. Angle Grinder with Slide Switch
  • Bosch GKS18V-25GCN 18V Strong Arm Connected-Ready 7-1/4 In. Circular Saw
  • Bosch GKS18V-25CN 18V Strong Arm Connected-Ready 7-1/4 In. Circular Saw
  • Bosch GCM18V-12GDCN14 18V Surgeon 12 In. Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw
  • Bosch GKT18V-20GCL 18V Connected-Ready 5-1/2 In. Track Saw with Plunge Action

As you can see a handful of the new tools are impressive, most notably the SDS Max rotary hammers in 1-9/16″ and 1-7/8″ sizes. I guessed right on the 1-9/16″ max model and nice to see they also have a larger 1-7/8″ model as well. I also guessed right on the 1-1/4″ SDS plus model (well sort of as I gave a range). I guessed that the left circular saw may have been a tracksaw and was right there. I was also right on the 12″ “gliding” miter saw as that’s exactly what it is. I was wrong on the angle grinders since I assumed their were 4/5-5″ grinders but not that far off as these are both 5-6″ models and one of them being an X-Lock mount grinder, sweet! I particularly like the naming scheme on these, for example the SDS Max hammers are called “Hitman”, the grinders are called “Spitfire” and the circular saws are called “Strong Arm”. They give off that oldschool muscle car vibe to them, unless that’s just me. Either way, I like a real name “hey, pass me the Hitman” rather than “hey, pass me the GBH18V-36CN”.

It seems Bosch wants to tease us as much as possible by trickling info a little drip at a time and we’ll learn more about these Profactor tools in their upcoming February 9, 2021 launch event. Stay tuned for more info. Also make sure to check out the Amazon link below as you can see and preorder many of these new tools now.
