Bosch Announces PROFACTOR – High Performance 18V Power Tools

Bosch has announced their new “high-powered” cordless power tools that run on their  Core 18V batteries. They sent me an email however they didn’t mention any specific details as to new model numbers however on their Profactor webpage they did disclose that we can expect rotary hammers (plural), grinders (plural), a miter saw (singular), a track saw (singular), and circular saws (plural). They also posted an image which I will share below.

In the above image we can see several of the new Profactor 18V tools. Bosch mentions these are all brushless cordless power tools and are powered by CORE18V batteries. They may work on any other Bosch 18V battery however my assumption is that they are probably optimized for the CORE18V batteries which have better and larger cells inside than traditional 18V batteries. I did crop the left side of the image since on the left there was a third grinder which looks like the other two. So there are three angle grinders on the left, all seem to be the same or similar models with 4.5-5″ wheels. I was expecting to see 6-9 inch models. We also see an impact wrench on the left with a large anvil. Again there are no specifics mentioned by Bosch but if I had to guess, I’d say it’s either a 3/4″ or a 1″ impact wrench. Directly in the center of the image we see two rotary hammers with a larger one on the left side which may possibly be a 1-9/16″ SDS Max rotary hammer. The one on it’s right could possibly anywhere from 3/4″ to 1-1/4″ SDS plus model but these are just my guesses so don’t take them as facts. Above the two rotary hammers is a cordless miter saw. It’s hard to tell what size blade it is but there is the number 12 which could be in reference to its size so it may very well be a 12″ miter saw. We also see that it doesn’t have rails but appears to be a Glide model which means you can butt this up to a wall and minimize workspace. And lastly on the right we see two all new cordless circular saws. Both possible are 7-1/4″ models since they are blade right models although blade size is yet to be confirmed at the time of writing. The left circular saw has an enormous near full coverage upper blade guards with built in vac port. It looks like it may be a tracksaw. The right circular saw is also a blade right saw and although with a normal sized upper blade guard with more blade visibility and also a vac port. A lower blade guard is shown on this model.

Bosch says the new Profactor tools will be available for preorder as early as January 5 2021 and will begin shipping February 2021. I’ve requested Bosch for more info and will let you guys know what I find.
