Milwaukee M12 Drill/Impact Driver 2 Tool Combo Kit 2494-22 – $99
This is a good starter set to get you into the M12 system known for their small size and low weight but yet plenty of power to get the job done. The 3/8″ drill has a metal ratcheting chuck with brushed motor producing 275 in-lbs torque and two speed transmission. The impact driver also has a brushed motor that produces 1,000 in-lbs of torque and metal front case for added durability. Both tools feature LED lights, battery fuel gauge, and belt clips. As a complete kit, it comes with not one but two M12 1.5ah batteries, charger, and tool bag.

Milwaukee M12 FUEL 1/2″ Hammer Drill/Driver Kit 3404-21 – $99
Though this is only a one drill kit, this is a huge upgrade from the M12 3/8″ drill above in every way. Being a FUEL drill, it gets Milwaukee’s best of the best in terms of performance and features. It gets a powerful brushless motor that puts out 400 in-lbs giving it power similar to 18 volt drills but in the size of a 12 volt. It also gets an upgraded 1/2″ chuck that’s also metal and ratcheting and accepts bigger bits because it has more power to handle them. It’s also a hammer drill for hammer drilling into concrete. An all metal gearcase and even though it has more, it still manages to be ridiculously compact at only 6 inches in length. That makes it shorter in length than even the M12 3/8″ drill. As a kit it comes with only one M12 battery though it’s the slightly larger capacity 2ah battery, you also get a charger and tool bag.
