I was browsing online the other day and I came across the KeySmart key holder. It’s a simple key holder that resembles a swiss army knife and holds all your keys neatly tucked in while not in use. What I like about the design is that it keeps all your keys stored into a tiny device while saving space, and not to mention looks elegant as well.
These are made here in the USA and the body is composed of the 2 outside plates constructed from machined aircraft aluminum, and 2 sets of screws and screw holder to keep it together made out of stainless steel. There are 8 colors to choose from and also another KeySmart keyholder made using Titanium. The most basic Keysmart keyholder can hold 2-4 standard sized keys. There are other options if you need a key holder with a larger capacity all the way up to 50 keys and extended versions to allow longer keys to fit. These can even be expanded to fit up to 100 keys with an expansion pack. Included with each keyholder are the loop piece to attach it to a regular set of keys, carabiner, or lanyard but instead of being built into the body of the keyholder it goes into the area designated for keys and counts as the space of one key.
Other add-ons are available such as a USB memory stick which takes the space of 2 keys and the bottle opener which takes the space of 1 key. These 2 add-ons fit inside the area designed for keys while the next set of add ons clip onto the unit which include a pocket clip, quick disconnect, and quick retract cord.
Starting at around $20 they’re not expensive but then again their not really inexpensive at the same time. What I like about them is the space savings by keeping all the keys together like a swiss army knife and is really going to cut down on the bulk from regular keychains. One negative I can think of would have to be figuring out where that specific key is, but eventually you should have the location of each key figured out. Another thing to note is that you do have to disassemble the keyholder to add or remove keys so it wont be as easy as a traditional keyring but I feel the compact tidy shape outweighs any extra time and effort into taking the unit apart to add or remove keys.
