Milwaukee has announced their latest generation of M18 Fuel SDS Max rotary hammer models in 1-9/16″ & 1-3/4″. Let’s check them out below.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel SDS Max Rotary Hammer 1-9/16″ & 1-3/4″ Models

These are Milwaukee’s latest Gen cordless M18 Fuel SDS Max rotary hammer models for 2026. Not just a new coat of paint and model number, oh no. They feature some nice upgrades. Starting off with increased performance, with 6 ft-lbs of impact energy for the 1-9/16″ model and 11 ft-lbs for the 1-3/4″ model. Not only does it improve upon existing Milwaukee models, but they say these new refinements offer best-in-class performance.

Both models feature AUTOSTOP which is their marketing term for anti-kickback. This model stops the motor when it detects the bit binding and is a safety feature to protect you from twisting your arm. The also both feature AVS anti-vibration to reduce felt vibrations from rattling you to the bone.

A new feature to both is VACLINK integration which allows these to connect wirelessly with other Milwaukee VACLINK equipped vacuums to activate them wirelessly. This way the vac only runs while the tool is running to save battery in the long run. Work smarter not harder.

They also both feature ONE-KEY integration as well. This feature allows for tracking and managing inventory across the jobsite with the ONE-KEY mobile app.

The next upgrade is for the 1-3/4″ model in which its about 2 lbs lighter than the previous model now at 21 lbs with 12ah battery. Less weight means less fatigue at the end of the day. The 1-9/16″ model goes up in weight at about 2 lbs, but at least it’s more powerful than before.

Milwaukee gave us runtime figures for the 1-9/16″ model at (24) 7/8″ x 6″ holes per charge with the 12ah battery. Though they don’t provide any runtime figures for the 1-3/4″ model unfortunately.

And of course both models have a 3 model control dial at top to choose between hammer only, rotation only, and hammer drill modes along with a 4th option to rotate the bit for chipping.

The 1-9/16″ model will launch April 2026 and is priced at $599 as a baretool and $949 as a kit with 2x 12ah batteries. The 1-3/4″ model will launch in March 2026 and is priced at $849 as a baretool and $1,199 as a kit with 2x 12ah batteries.
