Loftek has come out with a new 10W LED Rechargeable Flashlight, this flashlight has 3 modes a flashlight, a work light and an vehicle emergency light all in one. One of the things that I liked about this flashlight is how bright it is, you can defiantly use it for farther distances than your average household flashlight. I did notice however in using this flashlight that in the flashlight mode there was a noticeable hot spot right smack dab in the center of the light, So most of the light output is from from the center of the flashlight not the entire surface. Not a deal breaker but kinda annoying.

I did find this flashlight to be quit handy when working in small low light spaces like under the kitchen sink, in which I used the work light mode of the flashlight and found that the light output was even and very bright so I feel that it did rather well in both the bright light and low light modes for this situation.

This flashlight also has an emergency blinker mode in which it flashes red and blue led lights so you can be well seen in emergency situations, like if you were stranded on the side of a dark road and don’t particularly feel like getting hit by a car.

The manufacturer claims that this flashlight is waterproof a very nice feature that I wish more flashlights had, nothing worse than dropping your flashlight in a big puddle and bam bye bye flashlight. I decided to test this claim out and put it under water, unfortunately some water did manage to get inside of the light and now one of the emergency blinker lights remains dimly lit even when the flashlight is off.  As for the quality of this flashlight I don’t feel like its a heavy duty flashlight because when you hold it in your hand it is quit creaky and feels like you could crack it easily, and water does seem to get into the flashlight despite it claiming to be waterproof.
My overall opinion for this flashlight is that for $21.99 i think its not bad although keep in mind there’s a chance water can get inside even though the manufacturer claims it is waterproof. It has more functions than your typical flashlight and is rechargeable giving you hours of run time, so you don’t have to waste money on those alkaline batteries which in my house always seem to be dead when you need them the most.
