It’s amazing how technology has progressed in the tool world. We now have mid torque impact wrenches that deliver similar power as high torque impact wrenches from several years ago in a body not much bigger than compact impact wrenches from several years ago. Makita’s mid torque model is only 6-11/16″ in length yet cranks up to 520 ft.lbs. of Fastening Torque and 740 ft.lbs. of Nut-Busting Torque thanks to it’s brushless motor.
It has four selectable speeds with 3 forward and 3 reverse Auto-Stop modes which Makita says are for increased efficiency. The selectable speeds are done via electronic control buttons located above the battery holder. It doesn’t have a LED ring light however does offer a simple LED light above the trigger.
Like most impacts it features a built in reversable belt clip however the one included with this impact is oversized, I wonder if it’s larger enough to fit over 2x lumber?
