Makita Introduces User Friendly Makita Carbide Web Page

Ever wondered what the difference is between all the rotary hammer shank types like SDS plus, SDS max, and spline? Need to drill a hole into concrete and want to know which bit to use and what shank to use it in? Makita has made a user friendly webpage that helps answer those questions and more regarding your concrete drilling and demo needs with their new Makita carbide page, which you can find by clicking here.

The Makita carbide webpage is one place where you can get information on the concrete demo and drilling bits and the different shanks that are utilized by those bits to offer an easy to learn experience. Of course being a Makita owned page, along with the help they provide, they also put the spotlight on their own Makita branded concrete drilling and breaking accessories and power tools (they have to make a living like the rest of us, right?). But even if you see past that, the page is helpful and very user friendly and would’ve helped little old me years ago when I was trying to figure out what SDS plus and SDS max shanks were. Though I know a thing or two now about power tools and power tool accessories for use with drilling and breaking up concrete, I did learn some things on the Makita carbide page regarding demolition steel and spline shanks as I have yet to use those on any of my humble projects.

“Makita always has the right tool for the job, but in most cases, work doesn’t get done without the right accessory,” said Austin Donoghue, associate product manager, accessories, Makita U.S.A., Inc. “Makita has a complete range of premium rotary hammer carbide bits and demolition steel to help users work more efficiently. The new web page is another efficiency tool as it helps hammer users quickly find the right accessory for the application.”

The Makita carbide page is not in depth by any means but is simple and to the point and set up in a manner that is easy to understand to direct you to the right tool for the job when it comes to concrete drilling and breaking. The Makita carbide page is as follows: https://www.makitatools.com/products/carbide
