Milwaukee has announced a new Cheater Aluminum adaptable pipe wrench 48-22-7318 . It’s said to launch in June 2021 for $119.99.

Back in 2016 Milwaukee introduced the original Cheater adaptable pipe wrench and the new version builds on that model with a new aluminum version. Where the original required users to bring their own pipe to use as a cheater extension, this new model incorporates it’s own build in pipe that slides to extend. This means you don’t need to use a separate pipe as a cheater bar and this also means that the built in sliding pipe can keep the tool compact when not extended as short as 11 inches and extend to 18 inches for general purpose and also 24 inches for maximum leverage.
Milwaukee calls its jaw the Overbite Jaw, which gives it 2.5″ jaw capacity which they say is similar to that of a traditional 18″ pipe wrench. It’s also designed with dual coil springs which they say is to provide maximum durability and longer tool life. You can also find a lanyard hole making it tether ready so you don’t lose the tool when working at elevated heights.
