Cleanup tools are essential on any jobsite to tidy up the mess created during the day. And vacuums make that job easier. Milwaukee is no stranger to portable battery powered vacuums and have been offering solid options for a long time now. Their latest addition is a new handheld M18 brushless vacuum.

It reminds me of the original M12 handheld vacuum back in the mid 2010’s but with a more modern design. Also has some nice upgrades like rocking the M18 batteries for more runtime and power to draw from and a spiffy new brushless motor. Though keep in mind this is not a FUEL branded model.

Features:

Thanks to their use of the M18 batteries and a brushless motor, this model gives you solid suction performance at a rated 40 CFM of suction power. That makes it nearly as powerful as the OG M18 2 gallon vac that’s been in my arsenal for a long time. Runtime is also pretty decent at 20 minutes of rated runtime when paired with a 5ah battery.

The size and form factor of this vacuum makes it perfect for small cleanups where a handheld vac makes more sense.

It also makes it a good choice for use in the car as well. I also like that it has a built in LED light ring around the suction end. This helps illuminate dark areas for better visibility.

It also can be used as a functional floor vacuum with the included extension wands and pivoting floor tool.

I also like that they improved the design of the debris tank to be set further below the intake opening. This helps retain debris better as it vacuums. The debris container is clear so you can see when it’s time to empty. And they’ve made it easy to remove and empty.

The one drawback with most vacuums is that filter clogging is a thing. Once a filter gets clogged, it reduces suction performance. Though the quick fix is to clean it and then it’s good as new. I like that Milwaukee included a debris separator into the design of this vac. This helps separate debris and direct it away from the filter so that the filter lasts longer before it needs to be cleaned.

And when it is time to clean the filter, it is easily removable and can be cleaned and reused for long life.

It will be available in January 2026 and will be priced at $179 as a baretool.
