Earlier in April 2025, we learned about a new specialty tool from Milwaukee, their M18 FUEL steel pipe cutter for making quick, clean, and square cuts into steel pipe. And in a similar fashion, Milwaukee has come out with another cordless specialty tool – the M18 FUEL #10 (1-1/4″) rebar cutter.
If you’re wondering what this new tool is good for, I’ll give you a hint, it’s in the name. This bad boy is specifically designed for cutting rebar. It uses an angle grinder body with specially designed head that instead of using cutting wheels, uses a rebar cutting blade – more on that below.
This rebar cutting blade features Cermet tipped carbide teeth that delivers increased durability and cold cuts for faster, cleaner, cuts with fewer sparks into #10 rebar, threaded rod, and black iron pipe than compared to abrasive wheels. Thanks to its Powerstate brushless motor that generates 2,000 RPM’s, it has the power to cut #10 rebar and can cut #5 rebar in just 2 seconds. The RAPID-STOP braking stops the blade in under 1 second.
When it comes to runtime, when paired with a High Output XC 6.0 ah battery, it can make up to 240 cuts into #5 rebar. The anti vibration side handle has three positions, left, right, and top to help reduce strain with extended use and to enhance control. An LED light helps when cutting in low light. It has on board storage for the included hex wrench to help with easy and quick blade changes on the go. An integrated tether attachment so you don’t drop your tool from the heights.
The new Milwaukee M18 FUEL #10 (1-1/4″) Rebar Cutter will launch May 2025 and will be priced at $699 as a baretool. Milwaukee will also have extra #10 rebar cutting wheels available for purchase in sets of 1, 5, and 10 with prices mentioned below.
