Milwaukee M18 Fuel 3 in 1 Backpack Vacuum 0895-20
If the name sounds familiar, you are correct as Milwaukee came out with one with the same exact name back in 2018. However this new iteration (which we can call the Gen 2 2025 model) has a new model number 0895-20. It’s been completely redesigned from the ground up it seems.
It’s still a backpack vacuum which is by far its biggest feature so you can wear it on your back as you clean. This helps so you have less arm fatigue as it transfers the weight to your back and core.
So what makes this better than the original? For starters it’s brushless motor has greater suction at 70 CFM versus 55 on the OG model. And another huge upgrade is that this new model has an integrated cyclone separator! Why is this a big deal? Cyclone separators separate dust and debris as it comes in and helps it to get collected before it reaches the filter area. This means the filter stays cleaner for far longer which means less filter clogging and you’ll clean the filter less often. Cyclone separators are usually separate contraptions that you attach between the hose and the actual vacuum and only really make sense on regular shop vacs. However Milwaukee designed this new backpack vacuum to have it integrated into its design.

I also like how clean and neat the cyclone separator design is as it doesn’t add any bulk to the unit. They also made the HEPA cartridge filter easily accessible from the exterior for easy removal.
And the HEPA cartridge filter is reusable. Just take out and bang it on the sides of a trash bin to remove dust and debris and is good to go.
It has a 1 gallon capacity like the original and the dust bin also has easy access for easy dumping. The container is clear so you know when its full and needs to be cleared.
It’s also been redesigned with an accessible tethered remote for easy access to power on and change speed settings. It has a Max power mode for the full 70 CFM and a Max run-time mode with reduced performance that provides up to 40 minutes of runtime when paired with a FORGE XC8.0 battery. Milwaukee says you can clean up to 1,350 sq in this mode. The max performance mode offers up to 20 minutes of runtime with Forge XC8.0 battery.
The design of the vacuum also has a pull out hook so you can hang it while you vacuum. Or use the hook for easy hand carry.
It comes with five kitted accessories: 1-7/8” x 6’ Flexible Hose, 1-7/8” Telescoping Wand & Ergonomic Handle, 1-7/8” Pivoting Floor Tool, and 1-7/8” Crevice Tool that all have convenient onboard storage, ensuring quick access and seamless operation.
This new vac will launch in August 2025 and is priced at $349 as a baretool.
