We’re at the start of summer and we’re talking about new heated products? Wait, what? That’s Milwaukee for you as they are getting ready for this year’s fall and winter season as they are getting ready to launch a new heated accessory – the Milwaukee USB Rechargeable Heated Gloves 561-21 .

Unlike their other heated gear, the Milwaukee USB Rechargeable Heated Gloves 561-21 are their first heated gear accessory that are not powered by their M12 and M18 power tool batteries and instead by new removable REDLITHIUM USB Battery Packs. The REDLITHIUM USB Battery Packs means they can make a self powered heated glove without the added bulge of a power tool battery. The batteries being USB rechargeable means you can recharge anywhere with the included USB cables or your own USB cables, even on the go with USB powerbanks (powerbanks sold separately). The fact that the Redlithium USB battery packs are removable is a great feature as you can always buy extras to swap out for a second set when the first set runs out of juice.
The heat zones are on the fingers and back of hands which seems like good heating coverage and fully heat up in 2.5 minutes. Just like the heated jackets, these gloves have three heat settings (high, medium, low) and the built in battery provides up to 6 hours of heat on the low setting. Expect less runtime on medium and high heat settings (3 hours on medium and 1.5 hours on high). The fabric is made of GRIDIRON Ripstop Polyester which should handle tough use as well as wind and water resistant. For extra dexterity and durability, the palms and fingers are 100% leather. An extended cuff also works to keep debris, water, and snow out of the glove and easily pulls over jacket sleeves.
Although they have just been announced, you can expect them to launch this September 2018 for $179.
