So far all we know about this new router is the image above. The image isn’t a very good image as we can see. It’s actually a low res image that’s been enlarged. It does have a model number as shown however that model number is currently in use on the current Octane variant.

We know it’s not the current Octane router because when we put the two side by side, we can see some major differences. For example the first differences we spot is the different color scheme. Also, the plate on the base is different. The new model has a plate that’s round in front and square in back. Also the battery compartment is in the opposite direction with batteries sliding in from the back.

The base sleeves themselves are different with different cosmetic designs. We also see a variable speed dial on the right side which is a new feature on this new model. This will allow you to crank the speed of cut up or down.

We also see two black items on the upper front above the clamp. The lower is most likely the micro-adjust dial. It’s not very clear what the piece above it is as the image is very blurry. We can only guess and speculate at this point. My guess would be that it may possibly be a power rocker switch. What do you think?

It’s also hard to tell but it may be that the vac port is on the left side. Too blurry to tell for sure.
