Advanced geometry ensures performance with less carbide wear. Bits beyond 5/8″ feature a robust four-cutter design that offers 180-degree cutting diameter and 100 percent power transfer during drilling. In addition, four symmetrical 90-degree side angles create a wider and sharper tip versus competitive bits to aggressively cut through tough material like rebar.
The overall flute design of the bit enhances dust removal, reduces operating temperatures and reduces bit stress in concrete. These full-head carbide bits feature the 4-to-2 flute design: four flutes that transition to two larger flutes for increased dust removal capacity and a cleaner hole. Bosch Bulldog Xtreme bits deliver performance in reinforced concrete or hard aggregate.
Bosch utilizes a proprietary diffusion-bonding technology, a high-heat, high-pressure solid-state welding process that produces an extremely strong steel/carbide bond. This gives Bosch Bulldog Xtreme bits superior strength and a full-head carbide tip that holds up when the work gets tough in concrete drilling.
