ESTWING ENTERS LICENSING AGREEMENT TO SELL PREMIUM LINE OF WORK GLOVES
Rockford, IL – Estwing ® , the Rockford, IL manufacturer of quality striking tools since 1923, has entered into a licensing agreement with LFS, based in Bellingham, WA to offer a line of premium work gloves.
“We are very excited about this partnership,” said LFS Vice President, Bill Stevens. “LFS Glove is proud to offer Estwing branded gloves that offer the same excellent grip, ergonomic details, quality and durability that are expected from Estwing tools.”
There are gloves and then there are Estwing gloves, which are meticulously made from the finest materials to provide comfort, durability and protection. In Estwing’s gloves there are three categories Tough, Tougher, and Toughest: Synthetic Leather Palm (EST7790), Top Grain Goatskin (EST7795) and Premium Split Cowhide Palm (EST7990. In addition, the Estwing glove line also features two value oriented styles of Contractor’s Choice gloves (EST7690 and EST7690CR).
Exclusive features of the Tough, Tougher, and Toughest series include four-way stretch back of hand, which improves comfort and fit over a wide range of hand sizes. A snug adjustable neoprene wrist provides added support for extended work periods and also helps keep out dirt. A built-in pull tab aids when pulling the gloves on. A TPR back of hand knuckle band provides impact protection.
Estwing gloves incorporate Aramid stitching, which adds strength and durability. Aramid fibers are commonly used in aerospace and military applications. Aramid fiber is manmade and is cut and heat resistant. It is stronger than standard polyester/nylon thread, which is widely used in conventional gloves. Aramid fiber yields more durable seams and is heat and flame resistant. The gloves are suitable for use in a wide range of applications from do it yourself, home improvement, construction, and heavy industry. Also, all Estwing styles utilize a wing thumb design. The wing thumb provides greater freedom of movement and mobility, comfort and durability. This design is excellent for open-handed work action such as pushing, pulling, and lifting.
Estwing Premium Split Cowhide Palm
These high-impact cowhide gloves feature 100 percent leather construction throughout for maximum protection. The premium padded split grain leather palms are two times more durable than standard grain cowhide, goatskin, and synthetic leather styles. The grain cowhide is specially treated to be water repellent and remains flexible even after repeated wet applications. These gloves are intended for demanding work operations that require high durability and protection. They also provide abrasion resistance, and are heat and puncture resistant.
All Estwing gloves use a gunn seam pattern, which is a proven method of construction in work gloves. A gunn pattern glove is recognized by the seam at the base of the two middle fingers. The finger seams are located to the back of the fingers for comfort and added durability.
The Estwing Premium Split Cowhide Palm Gloves (EST7990, $24.95) are available in M, L, XL and XXL sizes through independent hardware and construction supply retailers, Amazon and HomeDepot.com.
