Up until recently Harbor Freight’s brand Yukon only had 1 product, a 46” wood top mobile storage cabinet, however that just changed when they released a new line of garage storage solutions with a 42”x72” cabinet, 27” wall cabinet, 30”x72” cabinet, 27” 1 drawer cabinet with casters, and a 27” cabinet with casters. They also have a stainless steel workbench top designed to go across the top of two of the 27” cabinets.
These appear to well built with good materials, consisting of powder coated steel, diamond plate and barrel key cam locks. All of the cabinets also feature a handle that spans the full height of the doors, which is good for users of various height. The stainless steel work surface fits directly onto two of the 27” cabinets and attaches with 8 bolts and has a thickness of 1” (although the stainless steel isn’t 1”, it has engineered wood underneath it).
My thoughts: With the great build quality and value that Harbor Freight offers with their new US General Series 2 tool carts and cabinets, we can expect these to follow the same trend. While I haven’t seen these in my local store yet, they do appear to be very well built with diamond plate doors, powder coating finish and a secure barrel locking system. While the range of offerings in this new system aren’t as wide as competitors, what the new Yukon line does have is priced very competitively when compared to equivalent systems from Home Depot or Lowes.

How do I but one – 30×72 storage garage cabinet
ask a harbor freight employee
January 2019 now and I’m still not finding these available online nor in my local store. They are in the HF sale catalog, but nobody seems to know when they will be in our store. Called this morning and the employee said they are available online, but my online search came up empty. Guess I’ll keep waiting.

One fairly major drawback (for me) – you can’t get extra shelves and the 27″ drawer cabinet has no shelves while the 27″ regular cabinet has one shelf – great for some, but not right for what I need. Unfortunately, cause I got a good look at them at my local HF and they are nicely built for the price.
The 48 inch cabinet looks really great but Harbor Freight won’t sell them. Even though they have them in stock they are not available to purchase. In addition you cannot order them. They told me they will not ship them either to my house or to a store for pick up. Very bizarre.
I bought the 32 x 72 cabinet for $199.99. went back 2 months later to buy another one. The price for the same cabinet was $425.00
