12V Model Shown

These two new polisher sander models are great for automotive paint maintenance for buffing and polishing and the sander action is great for prepping the body panels to remove rust and paint to make them primer ready. Of course, their small size makes them better suited for where larger sanders and polishers cannot get to, where the 3/2″ size shines.

Both units are essentially one and the same model with the only difference is the battery platform they are designed for. One is for the 12V CXT line while the other their 18V LXT line. Otherwise they are the same unit in terms of features and specs. Both models feature the same body except for color of course. Black for the 18V model and blue/black for the 12V model. They feature a brushless motor with two selectable speeds of 0-2800 RPM good for polishing and 0-9500 RPM good for sanding. The polishing pad size is 3″ while the sanding disc is 2″. Both are 6-11/16″ in length and with 3.1 lbs with battery. They offer a side handle that can be placed on the left of right side of the tool. They feature a variable speed trigger with lock on switch for cruise control and the also features anti-restart protection so the tool doesn’t fire up when the trigger is press while a battery is inserted which is a nice safety feature.

I like that they offered the same unit to be available for both cordless platforms as you owners of either line can own this compact little polisher/sander. Good job Makita!
