New Milwaukee Bit Socket Sets Feature 4 Flat Sides
I mostly cover power tools on this blog and Milwaukee makes great power tools. However they also make great hand tools as well. Their latest socket sets are bit sockets for driving fasteners other than nuts and bolts. Think screws and such, and these bit socket sets can drive Torx, Hex, and triple square screwheads.
These bit sockets are a one piece design with chrome plating and Milwaukee gives you options for both 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive. They feature laser engraved markings for easy identification. And their standout feature is that the socket end is four sided. This allows the use of a wrench to lend a hand for more options to remove or install fasteners.
Being able to use a wrench not only adds to these sockets versatility but it also helps in tight spaces when even a socket wrench wouldn’t fit behind the socket. It’s helpful in this use case when the wrench can grip the socket from the side and not add to it’s height.
The bit socket sets come in low profile and long bit sets. They also offer Torx, Hex, Hex balljoint, and triple square bit heads and are offered in both SAE (freedom units) and metric. Above we can see the low profile Torx 1/4″ drive bit socket set. The low profile sets include a storage rail.
