I just received word that Ridgid is coming out with a new cordless blower for their growing 18V platform. My first instinct was that this is Ridgid’s entry into 18V outdoor power equipment as it looks like a beefy leaf blower. Although it does look larger than puny jobsite blowers, it is listed as a jobsite blower so it’s meant for use blowing dust and debris left over after a job. Think saw dust, wood chips, drywall dust, dirt, sand, etc. Jobsite blowers come in real handy after a hard days work and its far quicker and easier to push dust and debris away with a blower than it is to sweep or vacuum. I like to use a blower to clean up my saws when I’m all done.
I assume it looks bigger than typical jobsite blowers due to its form factor but it’s hard to see if it will be bigger or around the same size as current 18V jobsite blowers since the picture does not show a battery attached to compare size. It does look a lot like a leaf blower and has some serious stats for a jobsite blower with 100mph air speed and 280 CFM’s of output. Although it’s described as a jobsite blower, I wouldn’t be too surprised with it’s performance to move air, if users occasionally use it to blow leaves from off their lawn. Runtime is said to be around 20 minutes with a 4.0 battery.
The design looks to be a jet turbine inspired design unlike other cyclone style jobsite blowers. The stats look very appealing and it’s also priced a bit lower than the typical $99 cordless 18V blowers from competing brands as it’s priced at $79 bare tool only. This blower is expected to arrive this month of September.

I’m glad Ridgid is getting serious with their 18v lineup. The new tools seem to be a good value.
I agree, this year alone they pumped out lots of interesting 18v tools with the new genx5 LINE
Great find!
Thanks Cody
This is awesome!
I have the Black and Decker “electric broom” blower for cleaning around the pool and will jump on this as soon as I see it.
this blower looks like the new ryobi jet fan 40v
I thought the same thing as their both jet turbine style blowers and the handles are similar
