New Ryobi Link Modular Storage System Being Teased

Today I received an announcement from Ryobi about a new modular storage system called LINK. It isn’t a detailed announced but instead is more of a teaser video.

The above video gives us a glimpse of the new modular storage system from Ryobi with the name LINK.

While they do show a three piece storage system similar to Ridgid’s 22″ Pro Tool storage system with a wheeled cart, a medium tool box, and a small tool box on top, the “LINK” system as a whole is more than just three tool boxes. It also consists of a wall mounted system with holders for hand tools and power tools and you can even mount some of the smaller tool boxes as well.

The wall mount system appears to be a panel with small octagonal shaped “pegs” similar to a lego base plate and everything attaches to that. Although the panel shown is a large panel roughly the size of a sheet of plywood, the wall mount panels are actually smaller pieces and are interlocked together to form whatever size you need. This lets you customize the wall mounts to fit your need. The lego inspired pegs are also on the tops of the tool boxes and also helps with connecting the tool boxes together.

More info will come and when it does, I’ll report on it. For now Ryobi says that this new modular storage system will come Fall 2021 which is right around the corner.
