Ryobi 4 Piece MAXVIEW Lag Driver Set A96MV01
The Ryobi Maxview lag driver set are designed for driving lag screws.
The 4 piece set features 7/16″, 1/2″, 9/16″, and 3/4″ sockets that feature built in 1/4″ hex shanks. The hex shanks make them suitable for use with impact drivers and are also impact rated.
So why choose these over using a socket and hex shank socket adapter? Good question!
The socket portion on these offer a built in window so you can see the head of the lag as it’s being driven. This helps you gauge when it’s fully seated so you don’t over or under drive it.
This may not seem like a big deal to some but for those of us that have driven their fair share of lags can really appreciate the side window on these. I think it’s a great idea so I don’t have to guess when I’m done seating lags and I don’t have to stop several times when I thought it was done just to find out it still needs a bit more.
My only constructive criticism over these is that Ryobi also needs to offer a socket only design without the built in 1/4″ hex shank and sets in 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive versions. For more versatility of course.
