Makita has had an interlocking case system here in the USA for several years now. They make some very nice cases that stack and lock together. They started with 4 cases, with small, medium, large, & X-large cases. Here in the states they were just known as Makita interlocking cases but overseas the system is known as MAKPAC. We just learned that not only are we getting the MAKPAC name here in the USA but the Makita interlocking case system is expanding with a nice variety of new cases and accessories.

The image below shows the Makita MAKPAC interlocking case system family. It consists of several cases that can stack and interlock with each other. The original system comprised of the 4 small through X-large cases. And now includes cases with clear lids (some with separate compartments), cases with open tops (similar to a tool caddy), and several cases with drawers. They even have a MAKPAC cooler!
They all have handles but how do you transport them when they are stacked and heavy? Easy as they provide a Makita MAKPAC interlocking case system cart and hand truck to do the heavy lifting for you.
Makita MAKPAC Interlocking Case Insert Accessories
There are several insert accessories for the Makita MAKPAC interlocking case system.
Above we can see a colored compartment set that also includes a foam lid section.
The Makita MAKPAC Interlocking Case system wouldn’t be complete without foam inserts as shown above. They also have customized plastic insert trays for specific tools. And they have plastic trays with removable divider sections to easily make organizers.
Most of the Makita MAKPAC Interlocking Cases and accessories are available at the time of writing with some expected to come out in the future.
