Keep in mind before this new model in this article, they had the original Rocket tower light which had a single head that output 2,000 lumens and the later model the Rocket tower light/charger which had a head with 3 independent lights with 3,000 lumens and the ability to use a cord to power the light and also charge a battery. The original single head light is the one that gets the upgrade to this new model in this article.

The upgrades are in the form of more light with 2,500 lumens of max output and now has the ability to plug into the grid with an optional extension cord hence the name dual power. Everything else appears to stay the same as the original such as single light head design, the ability to extend the light at up to 7 feet in height and it’s legs extend for use and fold in place for storage. It also retains three brightness settings (H/M/L) however the brightness levels have been tweaked a bit with the low brightness setting at a little bit lower at 700 lumens so that it can now offer up to 12 hours of runtime on a 5.0 ah battery or up to 22 hours with the 9.0 ah battery pack.

Price stays about the same as the original as the new model has a retail price of $199 as a baretool and it launches this month July 2018.
