Greenworks 80V Gen 3 17″ Brushless String Trimmer
This is Greenworks third gen 17″ brushless string trimmer model that’s currently sold at Costco.com. Thanks to its brushless motor, it has a cutting swath of 17 inches of dual line. Though no mention on their site of what size line can be used with this string trimmer. Greenworks says this model has performance similar to 30cc gas models.
It comes with a “Load N’ Go” trimmer head that can reload line in 60 seconds.
The main benefits of a battery powered string trimmer is that there are no hassles of gas such as dealing with fuel, oil, spark plugs, fumes, gas engine maintenance, gas engine noise, and you benefit from easy push button starts with battery powered tools. No yanking your arm off to start the tool when it’s battery powered. This string trimmer has a 2 speed control switch with variable speed trigger.
It comes with a single 80V 2ah battery and charger. An included shoulder strap helps manage the weight for less arm fatigue. It comes with 15 spools of precut line. Priced at $249.99 with a $50 discount – both figures at the time of writing.

Greenworks 80V 22″ Self Propelled Lawn Mower
Greenworks also mentioned that a new 80V mower was coming out – the 22″ self propelled lawn mower model. Not much is mentioned for this model other that it’s a 22 inch self propelled mower and as a kit it coms with one 80V 4ah battery and 4A rapid charger. It can cut up to 3/4 acres with a runtime of about 60 minutes. It will launch on April 25 and also be available at Costco.com. No pictures or price point were available at the time of writing.
