3 Dewalt 20V Max USB Charging Backpacks

81zdgkcbzol-_sl1500_Dewalt has 3 new backpacks that have built in USB ports that can charge your cellphone and tablet on the go. They have the DeWalt DGC530 USB Charging Tool Back Pack with 23 pockets that retails for around $60 and they have a couple of  step up models – a step way up in the price department backpack – the DeWalt DGC533 33 Pocket USB Charging Tool Backpack which retails for around $140 and the next model up the DeWalt DGCL33 33-Pocket Lighted USB Charging Tool Backpack which is basically the same thing as the DCG533 but with the addition of a built in flexible LED light which retails for a hefty $150 at the time of writing.

  • Use your DeWalt 20V MAX Lithium ion battery and our internal custom design battery dock as a USB charging source
  • USB charging battery dock simultaneously charge 2 devices via USB ports, maximum 2 amps shared output
  • 3 Internal charging wall pockets fit tablet, phone, and/or camera
  • Low battery cut-off protection monitors battery voltage to avoid battery charge over-depletion
  • 23 or 33 (depending on model) Multi-use pockets inside and 3 outside help organize a wide variety of hand tools

All three backpacks offer plenty of interior and exterior pockets with several interior pockets with ready access for your hand tools and all include 2 built in USB ports with a max 2 amps to charge your mobile devices on the go. They all use 20V batteries to power the USB ports although you’ll have to supply your own Dewalt 20V battery as these backpacks come as bare tools which means no battery no charger are included.

I’d say the best value among the three is the DCG530 which retails for around $60 and I’m not sure why the other two command much higher asking prices. Sure they offer more pockets but in my opinion is not enough to warrant double the price in the case of the DCG533 model which only seems to offer 10 more pockets and the DGCL33 is priced a bit more at $150 and only offers 10 more pockets and a built in light. But I’m sure the price hike won’t stop Dewalt fans from enjoying these.
