Ridgid 18V Brushless Extended Reach Ratchet in 1/4 & 3/8 Inch

Ridgid 18V Brushless Extended Reach Ratchet 1/4″ & 3/8″ Features

Last year was when we learned that Ridgid was coming out with new 18V brushless ratchets. Now we learn that they are coming out with extended reach versions.

These new extended reach ratchets have drive heads that are over twice as long as the originals.

This means you have several extra inches of added reach for those hard to reach places.

The heads also appear very slim which further helps them fit into tight spots. The 3/8″ model is shown above.

Power delivery is the same as the original normal length models. The 1/4″ model has 325 RPM with 45 ft-lbs of torque. The 3/8″ model gets 250 RPM with 55 ft-lbs of torque.

Other features include a wide two-finger variable speed trigger and LED light to help in low light. This is especially helpful when digging around in the engine bay.

There’s even a teeny-tiny little protective boot as an optional accessory to dress up, erm protect your purchase.

One thing to note is that there was a 1/2″ model with the original Ridgid brushless standard length ratchets. For now, there doesn’t appear to be a 1/2″ model that is also an extended reach.
