Bora has a nifty NGX Clamp Edge Saw Guide system that can turn some circular saws into track saws.

Their Bora NXG system uses a clamp edge saw guide that you can clamp down onto sheet goods and what’s interesting about this clamp edge saw guide is that it also doubles as a track for a circular saw to ride on. In order for this to work Bora’s NGX system uses a track plate that rides the clamp edge saw guide. The track plate attaches under the base of a circular saw and voila, you have yourself a track saw!
The clamp edge saw guide is 50 inch which is good for the short side of 4×8 sheet goods and they also include an extension to make it go up to 100 inches so you can also clamp down on the long side of an 4×8 sheet.
Will this NXG system work with your saw? Good question and the good folks at Bora have included some details to find out if your saw is compatible with their system as you can see above. Of course this will not give your saw all the same functionality of an actual track saw such as the easy ability to make plunge cuts on the fly but it does put your saw on a track for easy straight cuts.
Bora sells all the components of the NXG system separately however you can choose their 5 piece “Deluxe” set that has everything needed to get you started with a starting price of $199 which is said to be their “regular” price. At the time of writing though this set is currently priced at $149 which I’m guessing might be part of their recent black Friday and cyber Monday deals, I’m not sure, nor am I sure of how long it will be at this price point so expect it to go back up to the regular $199 price soon.
