So what’s so special about this combo kit since it’s basically the same thing as the existing CT226 combo kit, you ask? The answer is that it comes with upgraded a pair of 2.0 ah batteries with LED fuel gauges, and an upgraded tool case which is the same camera style hard case included with the previous generation Makita 12V lithium drill and impact kit. In contrast, the regular CT226 model comes with a pair of 1.5 ah slide pack batteries without fuel gauges and basic tool bag.

This brings it lower than the everyday price of the regular CT226 combo kit price at $139.00 but with a few serious extras.
