I was browsing Amazon the other day and I stumbled across a brand I wasn’t aware of. Denali is the tool brand in question. There are a couple of interesting facts about this brand. One is that it is Amazon’s tool brand. Two is that it is made by the widely known Skil brand.

Denali Tool Brand – Range
Amazon’s Denali tool brand has a varied range of tools. Ranging from cordless 20V power tools, to hand tools, storage, saw blades, and work gloves. Their cordless tools have some of the basics covered. Such as a drill, hammer drill, impact driver, circular & reciprocating and jigsaws. They also have a sander, oscillating multitool, angle grinder and rotary hammer. Two batteries are available at the time of writing, a 2.0ah slimpack and 4.0 ah fatpack. Two chargers are available. A cheapo 1amp slow charger that charges the 2.0ah in 120 min and the 4.0ah in 240 minutes. And a 2.4amp charger that charges the 2.0ah in 60 min and the 4.0ah in 100 minutes. So far their tools look to be entry level tools.
Denali Tool Brand – Pricing
It looks as though Amazon is going for very aggressive pricing on their tools. Possibly to compete head to head with Harbor Freight’s in house Bauer brand with similar pricing. It’s hard to tell how cheap their prices are as I happened to evaluate their pricing on Cyber Monday when they had very good deals as low as $51.97 for their drill kit. However it appears their “normal” price for the drill kit ranges from $79.95 to $89.95 depending on which kit. The $79.95 kit option gets you their slow cheapo charger and one 2.0 battery. This kit price is easily beaten by Harbor Freights Bauer drill kit with a coupon. For $10 more you get the Denali drill two batteries and their 2.4amp charger which makes it a far better deal.
Denali Tool Brand – By Skil
The Denali 20V batteries say “by Skil” on them. My guess is that they are possibly made by Skil or their OEM manufacturers. They say that all the Denali power tools, batteries, and chargers are cross compatible with Skil 20V power tools, chargers, and batteries.
