Dewalt has released another cordless 20V sander with the DCW200 20V brushless XR 1/4 sheet sander.
It’s very similar to their other 20V sander, the XR 5″ random orbital sander as the both feature brushless motors and are about the same size. Dust extraction is there as well and comes equipped with with a removable dust bag and also has what Dewalt calls Airlock which is their marketing name for the quick connect port that is specifically designed for easy quick connection with Dewalt dust extractors. Unfortunately you still need to buy an adapter if you wish to use a standard 1-1/4″ vacuum connection.
The sander has a variable, seven-speed dial that offers speed control from 12,000 – 14,000 OPM, allowing users to match the sander’s speed to their application. It also features a rubber over-mold grip that provides comfortable sanding, while a paper clamp is designed to hold paper securely and provide easy installation.
It will be available late 2019 where DEWALT products are sold, the 20V MAX XR 1/4 Sheet Sander will come kitted with (1) 5.0Ah Battery for $249 MSRP (DCW200P1), kitted with (1) 2.0Ah Battery for $199 MSRP (DCW200D1), or without a battery for $129 MSRP (DCW200B).
