Wow what a week! We recently got new rumors about Milwaukee’s 12.0 ah battery (which as of now may or may not be true) and BAM! Dewalt drops the announcement of a new Flexvolt DCB612 battery with a 12.0 ah capacity!!!
While the Milwaukee 12.0 ah battery is still only a rumor, the Dewalt DCB612 12.0 ah Flexvolt battery on the other hand is official.
Just like the other two Dewalt Flexvolt batteries, it is also a dual voltage battery that can provide 20V max to Dewalt 20V max tools and provide 60V max to Dewalt Flexvolt tools. It’s also holding 15 individual cells inside just like the other two Flexvolt batteries so should be roughly the same size and weight as the 9.0 ah Flexvolt battery.
The new Dewalt DCB612 12.0 ah Flexvolt battery will be more expensive than previous batteries at $249 and is coming out this summer 2018.
