Milwaukee may have made the first cordless SDS Max rotary hammer with their 1-9/16″ model but Dewalt just announced a new cordless SDS Max rotary hammer that’s not only the most powerful cordless SDS Max but also the first to cordless 2″ SDS Max combination hammer with the release of the Dewalt FLEXVOLT 60V 2-Inch Brushless SDS MAX Combination Hammer DCH773 .
The Dewalt FLEXVOLT 60V 2-Inch Brushless SDS MAX Combination Hammer DCH773 features a traditional D-handle design and it’s powerful brushless motor achieves 19.4 Joules and 290 RPM for fast and efficient drilling, even in hard concrete.
The hammer offers a variable speed dial with 7 speed selections for controlled drilling and chipping as well as constant speed control that maintains RPM regardless of bit size or depth. This tool comes Tag Ready, so users can attach DEWALT Tags and track the tool’s location with the DEWALT Tool Connect mobile application.
The new cordless SDS Max rotary hammer includes their E-Clutch to stop the tool protecting the user from harm when the bit binds. It also features anti-vibration features with what they call SHOCKS Active Vibration Control technology. You can see that the entire handle is connected to the two by two points cushioned by spring-like joints.
The Dewalt FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 2-Inch Brushless SDS MAX Combination Hammer will be available this summer 2019 for $1,099 as a kit ( DCH773Y2 ) with two 12.0Ah batteries and charger.
